Shifar Yunos: For the curious or just for the record, I create my art by using my imagination to see things that aren't there, and then, to the best of my abilities, I put them there. I seldom work from models, as I prefer to let my inner eye do most of the work. This minimizes distractions. Like me, it is avant-pop - a mix of cutting edge & underground. My subjects include pop icons, still-lifes, abstracts and combinations thereof. All my work is made freehand, using ink, pencil, spray paint and acrylic. Inspired by music, fashion & lifestyle my work ranges from street scenery to pop icons. The direction I am heading is more towards aesthetic, style and fusion of 2 forms of art giving a signature look & by adding substance to my commercial art.
