| There is a distinct sequence
in the painted photographs Jerome is displaying here. The painted photographs move from an all-natural background to
a construction site. This represents the deconstruction and urbanization of society. The more abstract theory behind this
representation is especially shown in the final painted photograph of this new line of product, which is the scene of the
suit amidst a construction site-in-progress. This suit Jerome wishes to describe as the Monkey, who represents human
society. Humans, like monkeys, make themselves “at home” anywhere they go. They are space-invaders, multiplying and
reproducing wherever they go, taking over the land. And this is why the sequence of Jerome’s work begins with a
concentration on greenery.
